Under President Obama and now continued under President Trump, a possibility exists that the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) from the list of organizations which can accredit Colleges. This is UAC's current accrediting body.
The University recently applied for accreditation from the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges and expects to in fact attain such accreditation within three years. Maintaining our ideology of Education Always First (EAF), we have welcomed with great excitement the strict policies currently being implemented in the education sector.
It is also a fact that such policies introduced an cumbersome elongation to the University establishing its plans and forecast to become profitable by years. Furthermore, the new accreditation body requires a stronger financial backing in fixed assets present in Miami, which difficult Colombia as a Non-Profit.
Pressure from the Department of Education in Colombia as a non-profit University to reduce investments going to the United States subsidiary, put us in a position to seek the right partner which can influence the school's growth in the right direction through mutual collaboration.
